Are you ready for the change without waiting for the New Year’s resolution, the resolution you are not going to keep any way? First thing to note: being in great shape is not just a summer thing. You want to keep your shape all year long.
Your personal fitness starts with changing your diet. Good nutrition means a balance of good carbs, proteins, and vitamins. You can consume as many vegetables as you please. We need some eight servings a day. As far as proteins go, try lean poultry and fish; then go for good carbs: brown rice, whole grain breads, and low-fat granola. The good nutrition will give you the energy fuel to the personal fitness.

Dorothy and her cute doggy Toto do not try to find way home from behind the rainbow any more after an English rock band Pink Floyd gave their own version of Pink Floyd Wizard of Oz, Dark Side of the Rainbow.
Wait! Wizard of Oz, an MGM movie, was made 1939 – according to my son, in the ancient times. To be truth, Pink Floyd’s 1973 album, The Dark Side of the Moon, lies for him in the same ancient times.
Now, on the more serious note: Dark Side of the Rainbow aka Dark Side of Oz aka The Wizard of Floyd, is some sort of synchronization between classic MGM movie and Pink Floyd album. One watches the film and listens to music at the same time. Many believe that the movie and the music somehow correspond with each other.

Because monounsaturated fat is lowers the “bad cholesterol levels, it may assist in reducing heart disease. Adding monounsaturated fats to your diet shouldn’t be difficult as they are found in natural foods like canola, olive, and peanut oils, as well as most nuts, and certain cold water fish species such salmon, halibut, mackerel, and rainbow trout. They are also the main component of tea seed oil and olive oil. Most monounsaturated fats are rich in Vitamin E. Fat helps the body absorb fat-soluble nutrients such as vitamins A, D, E, and K. If you live long enough on the planet Earth, you KNOW Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant vitamin and is called the youth vitamin.

Though there are some that don’t like to leave their hometown for any reason, many more enjoy all sorts of cross country travel. It can be very expensive to travel overseas, and that is why many take their yearly vacation within their home country. This is a great idea because the more you see of your own land, the more you understand it and the people that live there. Some things you just can not understand unless you experience them, and travel makes that possible.

Hypnosis is becoming more and more understood as the missing link for successful weight loss and offers one very enticing point. When using the typical approach of will power and conscious thinking, it is a battle. A mind battle that will power usually ends up losing. When using hypnosis to redirect behaviors to be healthy, the struggle is removed and the process to lose weight becomes much more enjoyable. Isn’t that what everyone really wants, to be healthy and happy?
I have to chuckle inside just a bit each time a client tells me their behaviors are healthier, they feel better with a more positive attitude but they are somewhat frustrated because… “I haven’t lost much weight.” Sorry folks if this is a surprise, but hypnosis does not shed fat from the body. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could use the power of our minds to melt fat away like ice in the sun? How does hypnosis work? It helps direct behavior changes and thought patterns to be healthier, which in turn lets the body do what it does in the process of reducing weight by releasing fat.

What are the acupuncture points and where are they located? You need a real acupuncture points chart to show you the answers to these questions. In addition to finding many great acupuncture points charts online, you can even find interactive acupuncture point charts that allow you hands-on interaction with the points. This can be a great way for a new or training acupuncturist to learn the points, where they are at and what they do.
There is so much you can learn about acupuncture when using a great acupuncture points chart. You can find out where the meridian lines are, what points are located on specific lines and where to find this on the body. The cun is a unit of measurement used for finding the acupuncture points on the human body. A chart that explains the cun in relation to a human body can help you learn to identify these points even though different people have very different bodies. You can even learn about the abbreviations that make up the points from a chart which depicts this as well.

A new Website was born by a talented artist living on the Canary Islands. Elandria.com is the virtual place where she can show her oil paintings to the world and also make them available as high quality prints.
She loves to paint seascapes, landscapes, forests, and flowers. It’s quite easy to get inspired living on the beautiful Canary Islands, but it takes a lot of talent to bring art to live on a white, empty canvas. It’s worth mentioning that she already got rave reviews by other artists and galleries.
She says, “I just started with this Web sites and it’s still a long way to go, but I am already hooked up with Imagekind.com. They are not only a platform where I can show my paintings, they also make high quality prints available.”
Go to Elandria.com and check out her Oil Paintings and Prints now.

When your ideal body weight and your vision of your body don’t match, you have to meditate about why that is. I don’t mean when you think you want to be a few pounds lower than your ideal body weight, I mean when you are trying to be thirty or more pounds less. This is not healthy for you, and you have to come to grips with the body you have.

The human immune systems are very complex that they can be very susceptible to bacteria attacks. A recent research yielded a surprising finding that the P. gingivalis, a common bacteria that causes gum disease may be tricking a receptor on bacteria-fighting white blood cells into helping the P. gingivalis live and cause more damage and disease. The research suggests that P. gingivalis has evolved, learning to use the human immune system for its own survival. This finding is important because P. gingivalis is the leading cause of periodontitis, a disease that destroys gum, bone and teeth. It is also believed to have a role in heart disease, stroke and other serious health diseases. Superior oral hygiene and proper diet are considered to be the most effective gum disease treatment.

In order to stay healthy and live a long life, it’s important to keep all body systems up and running efficiently. As we age the effects of our lifestyle begin to show in our general health, for example, keeping fit and eating a healthy diet versus leading a sedentary lifestyle and eating whatever you want when you want. For most people the latter will eventually lead to some type of chronic health condition and subsequent related medical issues. The best way to minimize or eliminate risk of acquiring a serious health condition is to exercise regularly and improve blood circulation. Keeping fit and eating a low-fat diet full of fresh fruits, vegetables, and limWaited unprocessed foods is one of the best ways to improve overall health and wellness.

My mother used to call fear anxiety and depression the unholy Trinity. Although she was being melodramatic when she said it, it held a lot of truth for her. She always had some of the symptoms of anxiety attacks whenever things got tough for her. There are certain things she was phobic of and, no matter how much she did try to treat them, they never quite went away. Her fear anxiety symptoms, I am sorry to say, lasted from her childhood until the day of her death.

Garlic supplements have become increasingly popular over the past several years. The ancients knew of garlic’s powerful infection-fighting properties. Nostradamus, the famous 16th century seer and physician, was credited with saving many lives during the Black Plague, by stringing garlic cloves around the necks of his patients. Some regard this account as more legend than fact, but modern double-blind clinical studies have shown that garlic is a natural antibiotic that kills 27 different pathogens. These are impressive credentials for such a humble, everyday plant.

The idea of the corporate wellness program is pretty new to businesses. Until recently, employee health and stress relief was viewed as the responsibility of employees. Nowadays, all that has changed. New thinking has come into business practices. People realize that healthy, happy employees are more productive employees. They also realize that corporate wellness programs keep health care costs down, limit absenteeism, and all in all do a lot to make the workplace a happier, healthier, and more productive environment.

There is going to be a big announcement made at Mount Rushmore South Dakota this spring. Apparently there is someone that wants to put another face on the mountain, the face of Ronald Regan. The fund raising has begun as the sculpting of a face this big is not a small undertaking. It has not been mentioned who the sculpture will be done by although there have been rumors that a local man would be in charge. The official announcement is designed to illicit public opinion about the project. Opinions will be gathered for several months before the final decision is made to authorize the go ahead on the project. Most people thought there was no more room on the mountain for another sculpture but after years of computer models a way was found to actually take some of the removed rock and reattach it therefore making it possible to get one more head up there. There were several suggestions as to who’s head should actually be put there. Al Gore was dismissed immediately as were Bill Clinton and George Bush. Some thought we should wait for Hillary Clinton to become president and put her up there. Obama immediately objected to that suggestion.
