A Free WoW Leveling Guide - Not Just Grinding?
July 9th, 2008Generally free WoW leveling Guides are not going to be as detailed as the paid guides, but they’re a LOT cheaper. If you have a decent understanding of the game world then free may be a good way to go.
An addon which you’ll find to be a huge help, while it isn’t quite a leveling guide, is called “QuestHelper,” and is available at Curse.com (or google it.) This is a killer widget which will give you a ton of detail on just about every quest in the game.
It’s not a step by step guide, but if you install this thing you’ll be able to follow a general plan - go into an area, grab all the quests, use QuestHelper to organize them (that’ll probably take all of two minutes,) and then blast them out.
Another option is grinding, which WILL get you leveled, but is somewhat mind-numbing. With QuestHelper you can skip the grind.
A paid guide, such a Zygor’s WoW Leveling Guide, is more like having a coach looking over your shoulder. You not only get the quest detail, you get a step by step guide to which quests to do in which order. As a result you level a lot faster with no wasted time.
