Qigong (alternatively transliterated as chi kung) has long been one of the major aspects of Chinese Medicine and dates back thousands of years. It has stood the test of time in China and is now becoming more popular in the West. Taiji (or tai chi), which is a martial art, but also a form of qigong, is the most well known. In the parks of China, early in the morning, many people of all ages can be seen practising the slow-moving and graceful forms of taiji and qigong.
