Warts – Plantars Warts, Common Warts and Flat Warts
No one really wants warts, but do you really know how they are caused? Luckily, if you’ve got them, you can get rid of them and they may even go away on their own.
Believe it or not, they are actually caused by a virus. It’s called human papillomavirus in it mutates your skin cells. The virus causes your cells to reproduce faster than they should, resulting in a wart. The mosaic appearance of the warts is due to the fact that it is actually several cylindrical growths of skin fused together. Warts have blood vessels just like other parts of your skin and these are the dark dots that you might see if you look at them closely.
All warts are caused by this virus, but they are actually a few different types you might get. The common wart is what is usually seen on hands, elbows and knees. Plantars warts are the ones you get on the bottom of your feet. They appear to be flatter and smoother due to the pressure applied by walking. Because the skin in your face is thinner, warts that grow there are usually flatter and, thus, called flat warts.
Sometimes warts go away on their own, but if yours are stubborn there are many methods to get rid of them. Dear over-the-counter products you can use, you can have your direct all just freeze them and you can even try the duct tape method. Try one method if that doesn’t work choose something else – eventually you’ll find something that does get rid of your warts.
