When you look at ways to grow sales, do you know what is appropriate for your business?

There are 3 basic ways to grow your sales and they apply to most types of selling situations. Being aware of these allows you to be clear about which ways will help you, and which ones will only confuse you.

Three Basic Ways To Grow Sales:

  1. Grow your number of customers.
  2. On each deal, grow your dollar amount and amount of profit.
  3. Grow your customer repeat business.

You know or can figure out very quickly, where you are doing a good job in each of these areas. Then it becomes easy to compare new ways of growing sales to the above three areas and match the tactic to the area that you can do better in. If you have lots of customers but they never come back to purchase again, you know to grow your customer repeat business through tactics that will help there.
