Dealing with Severe Depression
Feeling sad after a life event is something that we all do, and is totally normal. Depending on the severity of the event, we could be sad for a very long time. However, when we don’t get any better, and we know that anyone else would have been better by now, we may want to consider that something else is going on. No one wants to admit when they are under severe depression, but it can happen to anyone at any time. There are many reasons why this happens, but the most common is an imbalance of some chemicals in the brain. That paired with life events can leave someone sad and hopelessly depressed for long periods of time.
