The Military as a Career
With the collapse of the economy and one in seven unemployed, I expect enlistment in the army, navy, air force and marines to skyrocket. It has been long known that close to 30% of the military enter the military because they have no better option coming out of high school. Some heartless parents kick thier kids out when they turn 18. Where can they go? The easiest option is the Army. Unfortunately, these soldiers are not inclined to actually fight. Often they refuse to and go awol. The only advantage we still have over the huge Chinese army is they have millions of this type of soldier that doesn’t believe in fighting for socialism and certainly does not want to die for it. The military is a good way to enter government jobs. Since most jobs in a socialist economy are government jobs, the military is going to become a better way to get a job. In the army for instance, once your time is up, you can use their services such as the army resume builder program which helps solders find government jobs. While you are in military service they also educate you and give you skills. Not so bad really.
