Job advice for teens

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

One of the most challenging decisions teenagers have to face is finding the right employment. There are a lot of things to consider in the process and getting information can seem to be pretty overwhelming. Following are some ideas that can help motivated people find jobs for teens that really pay off.

The first thing that you want to do is consider your personality. What things really inspire you? Do you love animals? Are you a artist? Maybe you have a way with people. Perhaps you have a passion for fashion. Choosing jobs for teens begins with a little self assessment.

A shy person may not want to delve into a sales position. These jobs for teens can be a little too overwhelming for the quiet types. There are other options that can help you emerge from your shell but you have to make sure that you are in your element.

Check with your guidance counselor. This person has a lot of information to offer. You can schedule a meeting at your high school’s guidance office in little time at all. Your counselor may even have the means to get you an interview with your dream organization. All you have to do is ask.

One of the best places to look for jobs for teens is online. This approach certainly beats the local newspaper and I’ll tell you why. Your paper’s classified advertisements feature job openings but there is typically no section dedicated to students looking for work. You can spend a lot of time getting nothing done by sifting through the newspaper classified section.

Your online search will be much more lucrative. This is mostly because there are sites dedicated to jobs for teens rather than careers in general. Teen job sites are just about everywhere on the Internet and you can be on your way to finding the right position in little time at all.

In fact, you may find that there are many jobs for teens available that interest you. All it takes is some planning and some browsing and you can find a great position that you will truly enjoy.

  • Word of Mouth Marketing - 80% of all vacations are estimated as being from a referal. When you come back from vacation the first thing you want to do is tell everyone about it proving that word of mouth works. Now you can get paid for it!
  • Home Based Business - Home based businesses is the future. The government continues to setup many tax advantages and programs to promote this trend as families begin to realize that they need to take their future in their own hands. Employment Search

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

An effective employment search is one that is carried on exactly like a real job. Anything less means more time without a paycheck. Anyone serious about finding a new job right away will spend eight to ten hours a day looking for leads, mailing out resumes, and going on interviews.

Some will sit around waiting for the perfect job to show up in the classifieds, but that rarely happens. There are great jobs out there, but unless you put the work into it, you aren’t going to find them.

Management Consulting

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

Management consulting, once you get down to it, is mostly common sense. Of course, there are some things I had to learn. I had to know about how business finance works, what types of goals businesses have for their management consulting, and other stuff like that.

It took a good six months before I was really into the swing of things. Nevertheless, a lot of the stuff that I was doing in terms of business strategy was pretty obvious. One of the great things about management consulting is that you get to feel proud of what you do.

Retire Early

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

If you want an early retirement, you have to have the money to do so. Though most jobs today don’t have the pension plans that they used to, some of them still do. However, in order to get a hold of this pension, you have to work until a certain age. If you retire early, you will only get a percentage of your pension, or perhaps you won’t get any of it at all. If you want to get out of that work space and spend the rest of your life relaxing, you have to have saved enough money to do so. This may not be as hard as you think.

How to Find a Job as a Tour Caddy

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Working as a caddy on the PGA Tour you get a lot of questions about your job, but the question caddies are asked the most is,” how do you get a job as a caddy on tour”?  If you ask a tour caddy this question you are most likely to get some short vague answer that is little or no help to you.  The main reason for these vague answers is mainly because the caddy doesn’t have the time to fully explain the job process.  To give a complete explanation would take a good 20 to 30 minutes and more than likely they would still forget some important points.

Realizing there were golfers wanting this information and not being able to find it I decided to write an e-book explaining the complete process.  The e-book explains exactly what to say, where to go, and how to do it.

I know a tour caddy job is not for everybody but for those that may be interested they need to jump on the bandwagon quickly.  One of the best opportunities to secure a job as a tour caddy is coming up in the next two months and they need to be ready.  Find out what you need to do to become a tour caddy.
