When I had been playing for about a year, I got sick of my guitar, but I didn’t really have money for another one. It wasn’t a very good model, and it didn’t sound great in the hands of inexperienced player. When one of my friends suggested trying some different guitar strings, I thought he was being silly. I had tried a few different acoustic guitar string brands, and had not noticed any difference. He told me to buy myself some high-quality Martin strings and listen again. When I did, I was blown away. They really did sound warmer, brighter, and all around fuller.

You will agree with me when I say that it can be overwhelming with all the music sites available online. There are thousands of music download sites, but like everything else, not all of the sites offer good quality music, easy-to-use tools and such things as customer support. In addition to the above, consider also the high possibility of being hit with adware, spyware, Trojans and other forms of malware. Since most of these malware infections target sites that offer supposedly ‘free’ content, free music downloads will usually have the above problems. On the other hand, not all free music downloads come with malware and some sites are pretty much reliable when it comes to offering genuine free music.

Learning to play an instrument is one thing. Practicing with your band to the point where you groove is another. But none of this is useful is you want to get to the top if you don’t know how to promote your band.
If you look at the successful band out there, today and historically, you will see that they were either very lucky in meeting the right person in the industry and literally winning the lotto, or they were very good and creative at band promotion.
Being lucky is coincidentally one of the main factors of promoting your band. You want to buy as many lottery tickets as possible, hoping to score on one of them. Translated this means pursuing all the avenues of promotion possible, like creating a band web site, Myspace site, meeting people in the industry on special events, etc. The list goes on, but the important thing is to get out there and push your groove!

Classical music has been around roughly from the 9th century to present times. With it came classical concerts where performers entertained large audiences in operas, symphonies and in other ways. Musical pieces can be traced back to medieval Europe where classical concerts were performed in liturgy. Classical concerts can be traced back to around the 16th century when Venetian schools included orchestration development in addition to ornamented instrumentation. This is the period of the famous composers like Andrea, Giovanni and Gabriellis. Musical pieces continued to have religious significances until the development of the concerto, sonata and the concerto grosso opened up opportunities for secular music.

Today, it’s safe to say that we are in the age computing and “always on and available” Internet. There are many musicians who have realized this, as they have realized the lousy progress in the music industry. Some of them even moved to producing, promoting and distributing their own music.
If you are one of those musicians, and thinking that the way to do it is to upload your music to YouTube or MySpace, then you are on the right track, but that’s not just it. David Chan wrote a great article on how to manage your music career on his blog. More music career tips at http://howtosing.org.

Music note tattoos are a very popular tattoo for musicians and for anyone who loves music for that matter. There are many designs to choose from as you can let your imagination run wild.
These tattos are great for a smaller tattoo around the neck, wrists, or ankles. If you wanted a larger tattoo a line of music notes across the back would be a great idea.
One of the most popular designs it that of the treble clef, the music symbol that looks like a “G” , this music note tattoo can be done with several variations such as just a black msic note or a treble clef that has some floating notes around it. If you want some color you could add a red rose.
If you want another popular music note tattoo you could use a waving 5 line staff with notes. There are so many different variations you may have a hard time choosing one. If you would like to learn more, visit my site on Music Note Tattoos.

With the popularity of songs from the musical Hair, it is a shame how many people still haven’t seen it. As a matter of fact, I only saw Hair the Musical last year, and I have always been a big fan of the 60s. I didn’t realize quite how many songs I had already heard from the Hair musical. There were at least three or four that I heard played on the radio, and a couple more that a few friends of mine had put on mixes. They were just so catchy that it is a wonder everyone doesn’t know them.
