News About White Shoes

Monday, June 21st, 2010

White shoes seem to be the new in thing lately, well in actual fact the concept has been around for about eight or so years.

If a gal really has a penchant for shoes, she might pair them with any of the seemingly endless supply of stockings available today. One beauty of white ravel shoes for women is the special way they show off silk stockings in an eye-catching way.

The best way to maximize this eye-catching effect is to wear a vinyl, patent leather, or PVC coated shoe. The shinier the shoe, the more the eye is drawn to the quality of the stocking.

But if you’re going to wear fishnets, criss-cross, or even matte stockings, head out just for the actual matte white shoe. You don’t want to overdo the style. That just makes it seem like you’re trying too hard!

Finding a Montreal moving comapany

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

There are so many Montreal moving companies but that doesn’t mean that they all are good. Moving is something most people don’t take seriously therefore allow normal regular cheap moving companies a go at it. Is it really worth it to go with a cheap moving company? how can you tell if a moving company is no good?

First off if they allow you to make a cash deal, run! Half and half is still ok but a full cash deal, that means that they are not insured, not claiming taxes and therefore if something goes wrong not their problem.

Secondly, do they have a physical office or are they just weekend movers? Most professional Montreal moving companies have a physical office and storage, go and pass by and take a look.

Thirdly, how are they attracting customers and how are they’re references? A good Montreal moving company knows how to market themselves, check on the internet if they have a website, check your local papers for adds and specials and also mos big moving companies put their ad on radio. If they got the money for all that, their a reputable Montreal moving company.

Happy moving and beware of frauds!

Science and Spirituality

Saturday, May 15th, 2010

It has been a long and accepted fact that science has nothing to do with religion or spirituality. However, as we move through the early periods of the 21st century, scientists are starting to realize that science is much more than just observation of physical systems. The more scientists probe deeper into the experimental realm, the stranger they are finding it. Theories such as quantum physics cannot be explained, and without philosophical inquiry into the nature of the observed, the more difficult it will be to truly understand what we are observing and to understand our place in the universe and cosmos.

Great physicists such as Erwin Schrodinger, and Albert Einstein were mystics, and believed that the world we live in was much more than what we previously imagined. Unfortunately, their deeper esoteric thinking was completely over looked by many. However, there has been recent interest in the connection between science and spirituality

Chinese Dragon Flame Broils Chinese Rabbit

Friday, May 7th, 2010

You are a Chinese rabbit if you were born in 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999 or the coming year of 2011. Think of the Chinese rabbit as a pretty, cuddly little bunny and you’ll be right most of the time.

Timid and attractive, the Rabbits of the Chinese Zodiac tend to act more like bunnies, whether they like it or not! This Sign is extremely popular and has a wide circle of family and friends. Its compassionate nature leads it to be very protective of those it holds dear, but where romance is concerned, the Rabbit’s sentimentality can lead it to idealize relationships. The sweet, sensitive Rabbit often ends up giving more of itself to a partner than is realistic or healthy. The good news is, when this Sign goes off-balance, the Rabbit’s core group of friends and its stable home life help bring it back to center.

You are a Chinese Dragon if you were born in 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000 or the coming year of 2012.

The Dragon is one of the most powerful and lucky Signs of the Chinese Zodiac. Its warm heart tempers its fiery and rambunctious nature. This is a giving, intelligent and tenacious Sign that knows exactly what it wants and is determined to get it. Dragons possess a certain natural, charm that ensures they can always influence their peers and often find themselves the center of attention in social situations. This Sign is truly blessed, too. Dragons are considered to be very lucky in love. The Dragon’s friends are always keen to hear what this firebrand has to say and when it comes to dispensing advice, the Dragon has the floor.

Quantum and super mind power

Friday, May 7th, 2010

Is it hard to learn to unlock the power of your mind to have super mind power and a better life? Nope, not at all as long as that’s your intention. Do you have an imagination? Silly question huh? All of us have an imagination and all of us use it and science proves it.

The problem is we don’t use it in the right way. Nothing new there as few people do. However it is something you can be taught to do and the whole super mind technique should be taught in grade school.

This is not to put our schools down, it’s more of a society problem than a school problem. Instead of teaching people to think and to use their imagination we teach them that they all have to be alike and all fit the same mold.

There’s nothing I’m going to tell you that I haven’t known for many years. Except for one thing and that’s about emotion and your imagination. Get it and you will have quantum mental powers.

A lot of the things I will tell you or teach you have been around for thousands and thousands of years. Some are even mentioned in the Bible. I actually saw a sermon on part of what I will teach you. It’s the first one I’ve seen or heard in 60 years.

Which, I must admit lead me to ask myself, is it the power of the mind or god that gives you what you want when you learn how to use your own quantum mind power.

Personally I always thought it was the power of universal mind or the “Cosmic Consciousness” as it’s called by some. The point is, even if you don’t know, the answer to your mind question will come.

Tremendous Variety of Construction Equipment Leasing Sources

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

One thing about the construction industry, everyone wants to get in on the construction equipment leasing and financing act.

There are numerous lending and leasing company programs to choose from for a wide variety of equipment that is used for a wide variety of construction applications.

And because the capital requirements can be fairly large for certain types of construction, there are leasing companies that will strictly focus on large ticket construction financing.

When construction companies go through a tough time or are in the need to refinance equipment for cash, then there are liquidation lenders that provide financing strictly on their ability to liquidate the equipment on the open market. The more used equipment that is on the open market at any given time, the less financing will be provided with the reverse being true when the used equipment supply is down for construction related assets.

For well established companies that have solid financial performance, leasing rates can be very low and rival some of the cheapest equipment lease financing available for any type of equipment anywhere.

Certain assets will also attract better terms, especially those that have a long expected useful life and are heavy duty in nature which lends to their longevity and durability.

Goldman Sachs: The Next American Revolution

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Allegations of fraud brought last week by the Securities and Exchange Commission is a shocking departure from the culture of collusion among the U.S. government and the nation’s top banks. That despite the position of this publication and myriad others broadly categorized as “fringe” who have consistently and vociferously objected to the two or more standards applied to organizations and individuals by a corrupt legal system.

Throughout the 200 year-or-so history of linked financial markets, the name of J.P. Morgan has almost always been dominant. Goldman Sachs, though newer in terms of participatory history, has quickly risen to join J.P. Morgan at the forefront of the only industry that credibly dictates to government.

To many, the scandal surrounding Goldman Sachs apparent rigging of the craps tables in the house’s favour comes as no surprise.

Did The Bank Bailout Work?

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

A few months ago, the crumbling global economy was atop the
agenda of many G20 leaders. Social unrest, banking sector
meltdown, global growth conundrum, and stock market yo-yos were
the main discussion topics among the planetary leadership.

Governments the world over addressed the most imperative issue,
the banking pandemonium, with massive cash inflows into a sector
that hitherto epitomized capitalism at its best (and worst),
with a modus operandi more akin to central intervention in
communist economies.

The global tab ranges from 4 to 5 trillion US dollars according
to the most optimistic estimates, but the overall costs may run
higher in the future.

African Diaspora in Europe

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

The African Diaspora began its existence following the events that led to forced dispersing of many native Africans all round the world. The majority of the African Diaspora was dispersed throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia during the so-called “Arab and Atlantic Slave Trades.” These processes started at about 9th century and ended in the 19th century. Not so many Africans were brought to Europe throughout this historical period, and those who were formed communities that survived to the modern days, but in many other cases, blacks intermarried with non-blacks and their descendants blended into the local population. The real formation of today’s African Diaspora in Europe started in the 1960’s when most of the African countries where liberated from their European rulers. 2012 predictions and fear of failure

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

Has it ever occurred to anyone that maybe, just maybe, the Mayans got tired of chiseling messages into rocks. It does take a long time and would be very hard work. Maybe like our yearly calendars ending on December 31 they just had to pick a time to stop. Now my guess is as good as anyone elses because no one was there in the meeting where the Mayan people decided to stop with their future calendar efforts.

Maybe they got so busy fighting they didn’t have time to carve rocks. Maybe they knew their civilization was doomed and stopped wasting time on the future and started paying more attention to the present. Maybe they abandoned their cities for reasons according to their own prophesies. When the cities were abandoned almost all carving stopped. It’s logical to expect the carving of calendars stopped at the same time.

Perhaps with the way things were going for the Maya they simply didn’t have the time nor inclination to continue carving calendars of the future. Having the time to carve rocks was a luxury way back then.

Anyway, Dec 21, 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar and the end of the 2012 prophecy and predictions is when the dark rift in the Milky Way, Earth and the sun are all aligned. This ushers in a new age on the Mayan calendar.

For myself, I have a huge fear of failure but I am good at facing that fear and overcoming it. I don’t let my fear of failure cause me to procrastinate or get me off track. I use the fear to make sure I’m doing my absolute best at all times because I know if I don’t do my best I will fail. That scares me. I’m not afraid of trying at all, just failing.

I started a business when I was married to my first wife. The business became successful and we were getting ready to make some huge money when my wife started acting weird. She wanted us to stay small because she was comfortable there. She feared what success might bring and did every little thing she could to make sure we didn’t grow any bigger.

I’m sure you can see the problem. I have a fear of failure and she had an even bigger fear of success. Finally I couldn’t stand anymore of her irrational fear and we got a divorce. She’d rather be divorced and alone rather than successful and well off.

Too Good To Be true

Monday, December 28th, 2009

These days there are all kinds of phony marketing schemes out there, increasing the need for consumers to shop with that familiar old saying in mind – “if it’s too good to be true, than it probably is”. Here are just a couple examples that have popped up in my industry of pave stones. These exact examples are seen everywhere though, even from large companies.

One add that i recently saw advertised free demolition (removal of the old concrete, dirt or asphalt), plus 35% off the entire pavestone contract price, plus a $500 gas card. I was baffled when i saw this.

Since I am in the pave stone business, I know that the market average square foot price for a proper pave stone installation is around $9.00 a foot. That’s assuming a basic pave stone such as an Antique Cobble, Holland Stone, Bishop’s Hat, etc. is used. for example, a driveway, patio, walkway or pool deck paving stone installation of 1,000 square feet should have a final price tag of around $9,000. Depending on how lean the installation company operates, a 5 – 10% discount may be achievable.

Without going into a math lesson, let’s put the direct job cost for a proper 1,000 square foot paving stone installation at $6,200. This is only the direct costs associated with the pave stone installation itself, and does not include overhead costs such as vehicle payments, gas, advertising, office lease, phones, etc. In keeping with the $9,000 contract value, we’ll say the overhead and profit tacks on an additional $2,800.
So, starting with our $9,000 estimate ($6,200 direct project costs + $2,800 overhead), let’s begin the discounting process.
$9,000 – 35% ($3,150) = $5,850 (new contract price, after discount)

Joe Contractor would be paying $350 out of pocket to install this pavestone project, and remember, that’s before paying for his truck, gas, office and cell phone, among other things.

The obvious ploy here is that their prices are inflated from the beginning and they are eventually “discounting” them down to the market average price. While value engineering is needed in order to attract potential customers, these price drops in excess of 20%, free demolition and other perks like gas cards are simply too good to be true and are false discounts.

We often see “no interest and no payments for 12 months”. The last time I looked, banks and credit card companies were raising their interest rates not offering free financing. So for all those scoping out interest free financing deals, I would recommend comparing that price with a non-financing option. Most major financing companies charge an average of 7% of the contract price to the contractor for financing their contracts. We can see from the example above, the contractor can’t afford to absorb another $630 on his paving stone project.
