DVD Recorder Replaces VCR
Thursday, November 12th, 2009Have you tried buying a new VCR these days? It is really hard to find any. Most common are the VCR DVD recorder combos, but the problem is the VCR is really a low quality recorder. I still use video tapes. I have quite a large collection of movies and home videos. I don’t relish the thought of having to transfer them to a DVD via a DVD recorder and it is illegal to do so with the movies. Besides the movies have copy protection.
I purchased a Samsung DVD recorder that uses many formats of DVD blanks. My favorite is the DVD-R which is very versatile and plays in more machines than other formats. The problem is, the machine will not burn fast enough to record a live program off the antenna like a VCR does so well.
