In order to eliminate the parasites, you can do two things, either eliminate the hosts, which is really not advisable or treat the hosts for the parasites to move out. Well, that is indeed very easy.
In fact, there are a lot of medications that are available to kill those fleas and ticks that are residing on the coat of the dogs. There are over the counter drugs like the Advantix for dogs and there are also other formulations and medications that can be used. Aside from those things, there are also those that may come from your veterinarian. Meaning, if you really want to treat your dogs, there are many ways to do that.
