Komodo Gear Is Now Selling Michelin Motorcycle Race Tires Power One

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

Komodo Gear would like to announce that it has partnered with Island Racing Services, a major distributor of Michelin Motorcycle Race Tires.

Island Racing Services is owned and operated by David Hirsch, a veteran of motorcycle racing and Texas based Michelin tire expert. David has been racing and selling Michelin motorcycle tires for nearly 20 years.

Who better to work with than those who are true experts in their field? We couldn’t agree more as years of experience means knowledge and expertise. This is exactly what you need when it comes to choosing a tire to mount on your motorcycle.

Komodo Gear is now re-selling Michelin Power One Race Tires through our web store for Island Racing Services. Best of all, Island Racing Services is available to answer any and all of your questions! Yep, when you are in the web store you can actually read up on Michelin in their own section and actually call or email David with any questions! How is that for service? When was the last time you could talk to a true expert on a part or product that you needed for your motorcycle? Well – welcome to Komodo Gear, where we believe the customer has the right to speak with someone who’s an expert so they can make informed decisions.

Komodo Gear is carrying all the popular sizes by Michelin for your sport bike. Tires usually will ship within 1 to 2 days after ordering, direct from Island Racing Services, a trusted name when it comes to Michelin motorcycle tires.

Wishing our customers a great experience with Island Racing Services and Michelin!

Komodo Gear Shows Strong Presence At TWS with New Custom Race Suit

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Texas World Speedway was a strong opening for the CMRA in February.  But first, let’s start with Lone Star Track Day, which had a big turnout (over 140 riders) for the track day held on Friday.  Lone Star Track Day is one of the oldest and most successful track day organizations in Texas.  Owned and Operated by Steve MacNamara, the school offers valuable curriculum for riders of all skill types.  You can learn a lot by taking a class fro LSTD and the price is very reasonable when you consider the talent of the instructors and the opportunity to really learn how to ride your bike to its full potential.
For the CMRA races, the weather was a bit cold and windy, which is typical for February weather.   However, it didn’t deter the riders from having a great weekend.  The CMRA held endurance on Saturday and Sprints on Sunday.  Danny Kelsey had a pretty good weekend with several top 3 finishes.  Danny is a very talented and capable rider, so we expect some great results from Danny this season.  Also, Danny will be riding for Liberty Motorsports Park this season and will race in a few AMA sanctioned events.  So, keep tuned in on our newsletter as Komodo will be following more on Danny as the season progresses.  Next up is Ty Howard who had a strong weekend with several wins aboard his new KTM RC8r.  What a beautiful bike that also backs it up the good looks with killer performance.  We’ll be watching Ty this season as he is in a great position to succeed.  Also, you will see Ty wearing a new custom race suit created by Komodo Gear at the next CMRA race at Eagles Canyon!
