Never extend the chocolate tastes good theory to coffee, as coffee is addictive and bad for you even if you like it. It is well known how caffeine affects people, one way being coffee does raise blood pressure. Another way is to cut down on sodium as in table salt. Your water softener at home could be a contributor in this area. The best you can do is cut back on the table salt.
