Where do I start explaining how big this patch is?

BlizzCon 2009 has finally revealed the new expansion of World of Warcraft: and they named it Cataclysm.

The Lore: (quoted from the official tradition of World of Warcraft)

An ancient evil lies dormant within Deepholm, the domain of earth in the Elemental Plane. Hidden away in a secluded sanctuary, the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing has waited, recovering from the wounds of his last battle against Azeroth and biding his time until he can reforge the world in molten fire.

Soon, Deathwing the Destroyer will return to Azeroth, and his eruption from Deepholm will sunder the world, leaving a festering wound across the continents. As the Horde and Alliance race to the epicenter of the cataclysm, the kingdoms of Azeroth will witness seismic shifts in power, the kindling of a war of the elements, and the emergence of unlikely heroes who will rise up to protect their scarred and broken world from utter devastation.

Goblin and Worgens Races

With the latest expansion of Cataclysm, players can now access two new playable races with their distinct attributes: the race Worgen from the Alliance Resource and Goblins from the Horde.

Level cap amplified to 85

The level 80 is a thing of the past now since the maximum level is now raised. Level 85 is the level cap for this expansion, as players explore new five areas which are relatively impressive and dangerous to learn new skills, abilities and talents. Venturing into the deep sea from the sunken city forever Vashj’ir, based on the vortex Maw Abyssal. The more experienced players can divulge below the sections of the daylight plane plunged into the Earth elemental, Deepholm before taking the risk of losing their characters life to exploring the mysteries locked in Uldum.

New Race and Class Combo

WoW players would love the Catacylysm for introducing new combinations of existing character classes, Including Gnome Priests, Druids and Worgen Troll, and Tauren Paladins which many anticipated.

Blizzard has certainly increased the rankings when it comes to MMORPG’s by constantly improving the World of Warcraft.
